            The University of Central Missouri's Medical Billing certificate program is a self-paced, online course that prepares students for a successful career. The program focuses on the specialized field of medical billing with a brief introduction of coding. Medical billing and coding professionals are in high demand with the US Department of Labor projecting more close to 584 new jobs within the next five years. Average salary for these professionals is approximately $34,300 annually. Students completing this course will be prepared to take a national certification exam from the National Healthcare Association and earn the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist credential. Through this program, students earn an industry-recognized certificate and continuing education units which may not be applied to a degree program and are not eligible for federal financial aid.
