            University Housing COVID-19 Update - Resident Return Information

            UPDATE: We will notify students when we are able to continue the process for check-outs after May 1, 1分11选5平台.  For those students in apartments or residence hall students currently residing with us:  If you wish to check out after March 29, please see email sent on March 29, 1分11选5平台 from UCM University Housing.

            Mail for students residing on campus will be placed in mailboxes as we get mail from our warehouse.   There is a delay in processing due to COVID-19 safety measures.

            Package notifications will be emailed to students as soon as we are able to distribute and you will be given a time frame.  We have  very limited time frames for distribution.

             

            Distribution Times:

            Tuesday/Thursday, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

            • Pick up will be at the front of South Ellis. The ramp entry which is closest to the overpass.
            • Only one door will be unlocked for you to enter the vestibule area.
            • Social distancing needs to be followed so if someone is in the vestibule area please wait outside.(on rainy days we will have something to assist with where you wait)
            • If you personally cannot come you MAY send someone else to get your package. We just need something in writing from you who is getting your package. (can be email to Housing@ or a written note they hand us when getting your package)
            • We cannot handle other individual pick up times. The only exception is for extreme emergencies (medication, perishable food) These extreme requests need to be sent via email (Housing@). You will receive an email about how to handle these arrangements)

            If you have left campus or are not here the options are:


            A) If your package was received by US Postal Mail: we can forward it to the address you provided on your Forwarding address card or sent us by email.
            B) If your package was sent by UPS or FedEx we cannot forward your package. We can only Return it to the Sender.
            C) You package will remain here until you can get it. (not an option for perishable items)

            Fall Residence Hall Move In

             

            Students who sign-up for UCM Kickoff will move-in Thursday, August 13.  

            Other first-year students and returning students move into residence halls on Sunday, August 16.

            August

            • 15: Freshmen signed up for UCM Experience Kickoff move in 9am - 1pm
            • 16:  University Apartments open, 10am
            • 18:  Freshmen not signed up for UCM Experience Kickoff and upperclass students move in 10am - 2pm
            • 19:  Classes begin 
            • 23:  Last day to change your meal plan 
             September
            • 2:  Labor Day holiday, CLASSES DISMISSED and UNIVERSITY OFFICES CLOSED
            • September 3-4, Room Change Request Period (requires sign off from new roommate)
            • September 5-18, Room Change Request (does not require sign off from new roommate)
             November
            • 15:  Deadline to cancel for Spring semester and get housing deposit refunded.  *This is only for those eligible to cancel without penalty:  those graduating, student teaching, studying abroad, departing UCM. 
            • 22:  Residence halls close at 6pm
            • 23-December 1:  Fall Break, CLASSES DISMISSED
             December 
            • 1:  Residence Halls open, Noon
            • 2:  1分11选5平台-2021 apartment application goes live at 8am for students to get on waitlist
            • 2-3:  Room changes for Spring semester
            • 5:  Loft returns, UCC & Todd Halls, 2:30pm - 4pm
            • 13:  Residence halls closed at 6 pm for semester break

            January

            • 12:  Residence halls reopen:  8am for new students, Noon for returning students
            • 21–22:  Room Change Request Period (requires sign off from roommate)
            • 23-31:  Room Change Request (does not require sign off from new roommate)

            February

            • 13:  Last day to submit your housing agreement to be eligible for the first round of online room sign-up/selection
            • 19-23:  Room retention sign-up (if you want to keep your current room) for those that will be on a designated upper-class floor next year
            • 27:  Online open sign-up/selection begins for those who submitted agreements by February 13 (Open selection to live in any residence hall)

             March

            • 05:  Online open sign-up selection continues on a  first-come, first-serve basis for those who submit agreements after February 13
            • 13:  Spring Break begins, halls close at 6pm
            • 22:  Residence halls reopen at Noon

             April

            • 30:  Last day to pick your room online for 1分11选5平台-2021 (current residents)

            May

            • TBD:  Check-outs for current academic year (Please monitor emails)
